But like any small town, it has a number of secrets just waiting to be revealed. This town was once a peaceful community. But now, as the days pass, danger increases and your back isn’t as safe as it was before.

All it took was for some newcomers to come, and the town changed in a matter of days. Animal attacks started to happen, people started disappearing and inexplicable things started to get questioned by everyone in town. [read more]

• Klaus was born in the New World and lived together with his family in peace among the werewolves for about twenty years. After his half-brother was killed by one of them, Esther cast a spell which transformed them into vampires because she didn’t want to lose another child. Soon after that they found out that their new species had flaws like the sunlight or vervain and when they realized that wood of the White Oak Tree held the ability to kill them, Klaus and his family burned it.
• After Klaus’s first kill his werewolf side was activated and Esther’s unfaithfulness revealed. Mikael then hunted down Klaus’s family. Shortly after that Esther cast a spell to force his werewolf side to lie dormant and abandoned him. Thereupon Klaus killed her and framed Mikael for it.
• In 1492 he met Katherine who he wanted to sacrifice but she was able to escape. In retaliation, Klaus murdered her family. Since then he was obsessed with finding Katherine to break the curse without the doppelganger and the moonstone.
• For a long time he stuck together with Rebekah, his half-sister, and during the 1920s they wreaked havoc wherever they went. Klaus introduced Rebekah to Stefan Salvatore and she fell in love with him. Shortly after their arrival, Mikael came to town in order to kill Klaus.
• Klaus had to flee, yet, Rebekah wanted to stay with Stefan. Since she wasn’t ready to leave him Klaus neutralized her with a dagger. For about 90 years, her body, like the bodies of her siblings, lay in a coffin which was carried around by Klaus.
• When he met Isobel Fleming he found out that a new doppelganger was living in Mystic Falls. For a short period of time he posessed the body of Alaric Saltzman, the History teacher in town.
• He used Bonnie Bennett to do the spell that would break the Sun and Moon curse, who turned against him and tried to kill him. He was saved by Elijah who wanted to get his family back. Klaus told him that he won’t be able to find them without him so he pretended to leave town together, but staked him shortly after that.
• Since Damon was bitten by him Stefan tries to get Klaus’s blood to heal him. He gave it to him after Stefan drank a lot of blood bags. Then they left Mystic Falls so that Klaus would get his ‘rippah’ back.
• Klaus thought that the curse was successful, so he tried to create more hybrids but failed. He contacted Gloria, who said that he needed Rebekah’s amulet, which was now with Elena. Since he thought she died during the ritual he was quite surprised to find out she was not. He threatened her and everybody she loved to get the amulet.
• Soon after that he learned that he needed the blood of the doppelganger to create hybrids, turned Tyler successfully and left town to create more since Damon told him that Mikael was alive. Days later Stefan informed him that his step-father is dead; Klaus came back to Mystic Falls but had an encounter with Mikael which ended with Klaus killing him.
