• Jeremy Gilbert was born and raised in Mystic Falls alongside his sister Elena, by their two parents Miranda and Grayson Gilbert. However when they were teenagers their parents died in a tragic car accident leaving the siblings in the care of their young aunt, Jenna Sommers.
• After his parents death Jeremy began to push his remaining family members away, feeling lost, and started taking drugs. It was through this that he became friends with local stoner Vicki Donovan, Matt Donovan’s little sister. Jeremy developed feelings for Vicki and even lost his virginity to her but she was in a relationship with Tyler Lockwood so refused to admit she had any feelings for him. 
• When Vicki was turned into a vampire by Damon, she tried to kill Jeremy but Stefan saved him by staking her. Afraid that her brother couldn’t deal with the pain of losing another loved one, Elena had the salvatores compel him to forget the ordeal. However later it became necessary for him to know about vampires so they had to lift the compulsion. 
• Jeremy later grew to love a released tomb vampire, Anna, but she was murdered alongside the other tomb vampires during the town vampire burning. After her death Jeremy began to develop feelings for Elena’s best friend Bonnie, but on seeing Anna’s ghost he realised he was still in love with her and him and Bonnie ended things. 
• After the death of his aunt Jenna, in Klaus’ sacrifice, Jeremy has realised there is nothing left for him in Mystic Falls. The only people he cares about now are the people who wanted to run away too so he has no reason or desire to go back. 
• His relationship with Elena is still shaky after all the times she has lied to him, and even though he now knows she is not his biological sister but his cousin, he still loves her and wants to fix things. 
• He is also trying to build some kind of a friendship with Bonnie but it is difficult because he still has feelings for her. Over the years his friendship with Tyler Lockwood has grown and the two have become pretty much inseperable - unless Caroline’s around.
• When Jeremy is resurrected by Bonnie’s magic, after having been accidentally shot and killed by Liz Forbes, he finds he has an unexpected power. He can now talk and interact with the dead - however he finds he can only do it if he has a personal connection with the lost soul. This is why he can talk to Vicki Donovan and Anna’s ghosts. Jeremy does not often pursue his abilities as a medium, it is likely that he could become stronger if he practised it, but he only ever really uses his abilities when he needs to do so to help Elena or the others.
• On arriving in Mystic Harbor at first Jeremy was blown away by how normal it was, after all the drama in his life he just wasn’t used to it. Still he settled in quickly and having been made stronger and more confident by all the adversities he has faced, he was confident enough to make some friends. 
• When he first met Diana Meade he was overwhelmed by how pretty she is but it was clear to him that she still has feelings for her ex boyfriend, Adam Conant. He has also become quite good friends with Jake Armstrong, their relationship is similar to his old friendship with Damon Salvatore, and although at times he knows Jake can be a dick he believes he can trust him.

• She used to be Damon plaything, after his return to the small town, and she was his food and company for whenever he didn’t want to be alone.
• She once dated the captain of football team, Elena’s ex-boyfriend and one of her oldest friends, Matt Donovan, but their relationship ended because of Matt’s personal life getting clogged up with his problems and the fact that she was a vampire, and trouble seemed to follow everywhere.
• One night, she was on the car with Tyler and Matt and out of nowhere, Tyler loses control of the wheel and ends up crashing, and killed a random girl who was in the wrong place at the wrong time. To heal her, Damon gave her a bit of his blood.
• Later on the hospital, as she was recovering she was visited by Katherine Pierce, whom she thought it was Elena. Then after getting Katherine’s message, she was smothered to death by her with a pillow. Next, she woke up and she was in transition since she died with Damon’s blood on her system.
• After revealing to her friends what she was now, she got helped by Stefan Salvatore in order to control her blood lust and hunger. The two became really close and became really good friends.
• She started dating Tyler Lockwood, and their relationship was going fine until he was turned into a hybrid by Klaus Mikaelson. Ever since, their relationship became sour, since all Tyler wanted to do was serve Klaus. Caroline is still waiting for Tyler to get over his sire bond to Klaus, and return to what they used to be.
• Her life had taken a three hundred and sixty degree turn; she had became a vampire, she had told her mother about it (and she got judged and rejected by her, which hurt Caroline to the core), and then her father was turned into a vampire, and decided not to complete the transition, which resulted in his death.
• Caroline knows that running is not the answer, but she saw the opportunity to move away from Mystic Falls like an open door for her life to get back to a semi-normal one.

• Jake is the older brother of the deceased Nick Armstrong, and son of Sara and Richard Armstrong, who died in the same boat fire as the parents of the rest of the Circle.
• Jake’s powers are not bound to the Circle since he was not there when the Circle bound their powers. However, his bloodline is still bound to the others. 
• Jake had already found his family Book of Shadows before the rest of the circle even found out they were witches, which makes him more experienced than any other Circle member.
• In his teens he worked at the Boathouse Bar and Grill until he stole money from Adam’s dad, for which Adam holds a grudge against him.
• He had a sexual relationship with Faye Chamberlain and constantly broke her heart.
• He left Chance Harbor and joined”The True Believers”, a witch hunter club, after discovering he was a witch. The witch hunters told him that witchcraft was the reason for his parents death and led him to believe that the only good way to use his magic is against other witches. He was not close to Nick when he left and later came back only after Nick had been killed. 
• He originally came to help the witch hunters get rid of the circle, but soon grew to have feelings for Cassie Blake after saving her from the witch hunters.
• When he was a few years old, he snuck into his parents car unaware that they would later be killed that day. He escaped the boat fire and started to block the memory of what he saw that day. Only later that memory was unblocked when him and Cassie performed a spell to get inside Jake’s memory.
• Even though he still hasn’t gotten the full trust of the Circle, he knows he has changed and that he would do anything to keep Cassie and the rest of the Circle safe. Even though him and Adam still bicker and whatnot, he still feels the need to bare with it for the Circle’s good.
• Jake agreed to the Circle’s decision of moving away from Chance Harbor, purely because he didn’t want any of their lives, specially Cassie’s life jeopardized because of some hunters.
• While being in town, he tried to lay low, keeping his ability to make acquaintances low. Although he made a few friends along the way, namely a girl named Katherine Pierce. Jake often gets confused about how different her style is from day to day, and how quickly her attitude changes, completely unaware of Katherine’s nature and her doppelganger.

• Even though she loves the Circle and knows she can’t get away from it all, she wants to at least try. And since they all moved away from the trouble that would come to them in Chance Harbor, she saw this new town as a fresh start. No boyfriend, no worries, nothing.
• She just wants to get involved in supernatural witchy stuff the least she can, so she can complete one of the main objectives of coming to the town; try to leave a life as normal as she could.
• After finding out the simple reason behind her inexplicable choking when she tried to enter the mines, she wasn’t able to accept it at first, and she hasn’t still gotten over the fact the she is the other Blackwell child, making her Cassie’s half-sister and making her have dark magic inside of her.
• When she got to the small town, by the wend of the week she met a mysterious boy by the name of Stefan Salvatore, and the two of them grown to be good friends. But both completely unaware of what the other one was.

• When the Circle got bound, Faye got really upset about it and being as she was, she decided to rebel even more against the whole Circle. She doesn’t want nor she likes Diana being the leader, so the two tend to bicker a bit.
• Faye has been best friends with Melissa since she can remember, and even though she is bossy when it comes down to some decisions Melissa has to make; Faye tells her what to do, but she doesn’t do it to sound bitchy, she does it because she’s Melissa’s friend, who is not afraid of telling what on her mind.
• When Nick Armstrong died, she felt empty and grieved his death for a while. He, besides Melissa, was one of the only people that actually understood her.
• She had a previous sexual relationship with Jake Armstrong, whom she had some feelings towards. When Cassie got to town and Faye noticed Jake taking an interest in her, Faye’s hatred and jealousy towards the blonde girl just increased.
• Ever since Cassie arrived at Chance Harbor and they found out she had dark magic, Faye couldn’t help but feel a little jealous about that. She wants the power more than Cassie does, and in her opinion she’s the one who deserves it.
• When she thought she was the other Blackwell child, she somehow felt accomplished and happy about the fact she had gotten the power she wanted and deserved.
• Even though Faye is all up for trouble, she agreed with the rest of the Circle when they decided to move to another town, and start over. She loved the thrill of the danger that would be coming to Chance Harbor, but she still wanted to live. Besides, being in a new town was only seen as a great opportunity to raise a little hell in a new town, with new people.
• Even though she knows it’s safer in Mystic Harbor, she can only find that small town more boring the Chance Harbor and for her, that was some kind of record.
• She met some newcomers as well and formed some friendships, unaware of who and what those people were.

• Stefan is the younger brother of Damon Salvatore. He is nothing like his older brother, as he’s described as the more friendly one. Although since the summer, he changed and got back to his old ways: A Ripper.
• He was driven to be a Ripper again since he made a deal with Klaus, and over the summer, he did nothing but serve him. He and Klaus would always go somewhere together and Stefan remained in his company in order to keep the deal they made.
• The moment he left town with Klaus, he knew he would lose Elena even if her tried to get back to what he was before.
• After returning to Mystic Falls, Stefan worked on his being and tried to let his humanity back in; though at the beggining he fought against it, knowing that if he started to feel again, all he would feel was pain because of all the things he did.
• He knew that Elena and Damon had grown closer while he was away serving Klaus, so his brother would live. And even after returning, he could see how the bond between them had grown stronger. It’s painful for him to watch what he let go everyday, and see his brother take it. Stefan knows that he threw away the future he could have had with Elena the moment he decided to save his brother’s life.
• He knows that Elena is starting to develop some deep feelings towards his brother and that’s why she’s been so confused about her feelings towards both of them.
• The trip to Denver came to him as an idea to help Elena figure out where her heart is, wanting to help her make the decision and take her time without having to deal with both of them at the same time. He is completely unaware of the passionate kiss Elena and Damon shared, although he thought they were acting kind of different towards each other when they got back from the trip.
• When Elena told him she wanted to get away from everything and everyone, he couldn’t do anything else but respect her decision, since he had no right to even tell her his opinion about the matter.
• Stefan was informed about Elena’s destination by Caroline, which came as a surprise to him. She told him that she wanted to keep Elena safe, and that she couldn’t do it on herself.
• After Elena left, Stefan gave it a few days and after Damon took off to somewhere, he made his way to Mystic Harbor, where he kept laying low, only to look after Elena without her knowing about his presence.
• A part of him just wants to go up to her and give them another chance, but the other part knows that she deserved a fresh start.
• While keeping himself entertained around the small town, he met a brunnett girl by the name of Diana Meade and they have been creating a good friendship. That fact caused Adam Conant to dislike him a bit.
• Stefan finds weird that Katherine hasn’t given any signs of life for a while, and has been thinking about what she could be doing while away. Little did he know that he has been checked up on her from time to time and that she’s also in town.

• Damon Salvatore is Stefan’s older brother, and most commonly known as the jerk one of the two. Although his relationship with his brother is not the best one ever since they both fell in love with Katherine 145 years back, they are now getting along better and working their way to the top.
• Just like his brother, Damon fell in love with Elena and even though their past isn’t the best one, they were getting really close.
• He somewhat feels guilty by the fact he’s pursuing his brother’s ex-gilrfriend after everything he did for him, but he cannot hide his feelings for Elena anymore.
• Damon admitted his feelings for Elena long before she even thought about dealing with hers. Ever since their trip to Denver and the kiss they shared, Damon has been feeling more on edge; thinking that Elena felt the same about him, and realizing that she was even more confused about everything than before. 
• He knew that she was expecting him to do something wrong so her choice would be easier, but he would not do that and lose her like he lost Katherine; to his brother. 
• The fact that she decided to run from it all came off as a surprise for Damon. He knew that forgetting about her would be hard to do, but he loves her and if that’s what she wanted to do and have, then he would let her.
• A few months had passed since Elena and the others moved away from Mystic Falls, and just like before, Stefan and Damon parted their ways and went away from each other. 
• Later, Damon found out where Elena had decided to go and out of pure curiosity he decided to visit her, unaware that his brother thought the same way he did. 
• Knowing that Elena wouldn’t be safe wherever she went, he decided to stick around, watching over her; and even considering living in the small town. He knows Elena won’t be too pleased to know that he followed her, but he couldn’t just stay away from her.
• He knows that the town has more to it than it appears, and he’s determined to find out what it is.
• While in town, he saw Elena numerous times working on the local coffee shop. But what confused him was how she would be on the other side of town in a matter of seconds, and that had only one explanation; Katherine was in town.

• No one besides her, knows about the deal and she intends to keep it that way. She knows that if she tells anyone, they would try to find another way out and she’s completely “happy” about how things turned out.
• After her decision of moving away from Mystic Falls was final, she made sure to let Stefan and Damon be aware of it. She told them she wanted to start fresh, and for that she needed to erase all the possible shreds that could remember her of her past.
• She, Caroline, Bonnie, Jeremy and Alaric moved to the small town of Mystic Harbor, on the other side of the country, looking for a fresh start. Little did they know that wherever they go, trouble would follow.
• Looking for a fresh start, Elena decided she would take care of college after she had settled in. For now, she just wanted to finish high school as a normal teenager, but she knew that deep down, she would never be normal again.
• Wanting to help Alaric, she started working at the local coffee shop.
